If you follow my work, you know how much I love stories. I love to tell them, and I love to hear them or read them. I also love artists that in their different fields of work use stories to convey big ideas and deep feelings.

Gambling raids were very popular in the earlier twentieth century. Police were using all strategies to enter the rooms where cards were being played for money and to confiscate all the equipment while making a few arrests.

I love stories, and I love great storytelling. And the beauty of a great storyteller is the ability to craft the narrative aspect of a story to enhance its singular purpose and goal. And when this is achieved with particular precision, you can even appreciate it more because you know it’s the result of deliberate choices.

Often simplicity can trick us. Many reasons can lead to that, and depending on the situation, a more specific answer can be presented.

Predicting the future is not an easy task. It never was, and it will never be. But the challenge it poses doesn’t mean we shouldn’t consider the future and our actions' consequences, especially in a world of growing technology capable of things that a few decades ago were unthinkable.

Magicians have been known for once in a while, revealing their secrets. It is not common practice, but a minor revelation in the bigger context of the performance can enhance the secretive hard work that goes on.

The first image for my next theatrical performance is out. The Hope Theory will debut at the Geffen Playhouse on April 25th, 2024. Not coincidentally, it will open exactly 50 years after the Carnation Revolution, and historical event in Portugal that has a substantial impact on the story I am going to tell.

I am not a fan of Magic on tv. It’s rarely performed under the right circumstances, and the hosts of the tv shows usually try to become the center of attention when they should be just mere spectators.
